How to use the atlas
Start with the outside of the body, then switch to organs or bones. Select a label and open its lesson. Use the body systems page to connect individual parts to the jobs they do together.
Scope & accuracy
This atlas covers external parts, organs and selected internal structures. It is not a complete anatomical reference of every named bone, muscle, vessel or microscopic structure. The 3D models are reference datasets with incomplete coverage in some systems. Their tissue colors are illustrative, and anatomy varies between individuals. Left and right refer to the person's own body.
From overview to deeper study
Each article begins with an accessible overview, then describes location, structural organization, mechanism and study connections. Medical learners can use these as orientation notes alongside a formal anatomy curriculum; the articles do not replace a comprehensive textbook or dissection atlas.

3D model credits & coverage
Male and female models are adapted from the Human Reference Atlas 3D Reference Organ Library, HuBMAP Consortium / NIH, united-male and united-female version 1.5. These reference collections incorporate Visible Human data from the US National Library of Medicine and other contributing organ datasets. Creator and contributor records are preserved with the downloadable assets.
The models are distributed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0. Our changes are Draco geometry compression, interactive display colors and visibility, and division of the skin surface into selectable educational regions. These region boundaries are approximate navigation aids, not anatomical dissection planes. Reassembly preserves the original surface geometry. Pregnancy-specific placenta and umbilical structures are hidden in the default nonpregnant view. Some systems contain only selected regions or tissues.
Anatomical illustrations
The outside and organ plates are adapted from SVG Human With All Organs, assembled by Madhero88 with illustrations credited to LadyofHats (Mariana Ruiz Villarreal), ZooFari, Piom, Patrick J. Lynch and Mikael Häggström. These adapted plates and extracted organ layers are available under CC BY-SA 3.0. Changes include separating layers, removing editor data, changing liver transparency and adding interactive markers.
The skeleton plate is based on the public-domain human skeleton illustration by LadyofHats (Mariana Ruiz Villarreal), using a version without labels. The white background was removed.
Full attribution and downloadable illustration files. Organ cutaways reveal normally hidden structures. These are educational diagrams with adult proportions; they do not show every body type or the exact relative size of every organ.
A simple classroom activity
Choose one organ, identify its anatomical neighbors, explain its function, and find a second part that helps it. Put the parts together to build a structure–function map.
